Company Policy Summary

Prior to beginning with Statewide Express all staff submit to mandatory 9-panel drug screening with a nationally recognized laboratory.  If for any reason there is a vehicle accident, we then re-screen those drivers.  We screen past employers and references to insure we hire the right candidate.

All drivers receive 5-7 days of OJT with a seasoned staff member.  Our company policy is to treat every member like your own family member, with respect & dignity.  The next step in training is all training required to be certified in basic first aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.  Drivers are then certified in all wheelchair and stretcher procedures bi-annually by the lead driver in that area.

We maintain a daily inspection on our entire fleet of vans to insure safety and operational standards are met.  We have in-house mechanics available for all immediate repairs & preventative maintenance.  We have an in-house safety & training officer that maintains all training steps to insure everything is up-to-date.

Our fleet is generally no older than 4-5 years.  We replace fleet as needed for mileage or contract specifications.  Our fleet consists mostly of Chevy Uplander wheelchair vans that are our design built in-house to accommodate our needs.  We supplement them with Ford F-350 hydraulic lift vans for our bariatric and special needs clients.  We also maintain a small fleet of Toyota Prius cars for long-distance ambulatory trips.  We utilize any number of vans for in-town and regional shuttle services to transport groups of people as needed.
